NOVA NOTE: INSERTS INTO FRONT SUMP OIL PAN USE WITH #01006 DIPSTICK TUBE Trial fit the dip stick tube into the oil pan. Before final installation of the dip stick tube into pan, use a small amount of silicone to provide a good seal. Near the top of the dipstick tube there is a mounting tab. This was originally attached to the front bolt on the stock exhaust manifold. If you have headers you can use a spacer under the header bolt to space it out the correct distance. When using a Nova front sump pan the dip stick tube is mounted in the pan not the block. This must be used to measure the correct level of the oil. We have a drive in plug to close the hole in the block; some blocks have a 3/8” (part # 01040-1) or a 7/16” (part # 01040) OD hole. Both size drive in plugs are included with the engine conversion kits - part #'s 01009, 01009-1 or 01009-2.
